8 suspects nabbed, P1.5-M ‘shabu’ seized in Bulacan op

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – San Jose Del Monte City police operatives arrested eight suspected drug peddlers and seized shabu with an estimated street value of P1.56 million in an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Grace Ville early Wednesday morning.

  Based on the report submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO), the operation was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the San Jose del Monte City Police Station in Zone 1, Capili compound in the village at about 1 a.m.

  Police confiscated from the suspects a total of 11 pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing more or less 230 grams with a standard drug price of P1,564,000, three pieces of P1,000 bills used as marked money, and a belt bag.

  "The arrested suspects and the confiscated evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while appropriate criminal complaints for violations of Article II, Section 5, and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, have been prepared against the suspects for filing in court," Arnedo said during an interview.

  He said the BPPO remains steadfast in its commitment to thwart the spread of illegal drugs

  "Our actions demonstrate our relentless efforts to curb drug-related activities and apprehend perpetrators, ensuring a safer environment for all," Arnedo said. PNA
