EJ Anosike assured San Miguel he'll be alright as its PBA Governors' Cup semifinals series against Barangay Ginebra is now down to its most crucial stage.
"I'll be alright," he quipped when asked about the ankle he sprained in the second quarter of Game 4 Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Indeed, the energetic, 25-year-old import appeared fine following the injury as he delivered a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds in the 131-121 win that leveled the best-of-seven series at 2-2.
Anosike was 9-of-16 from the field and 2-of-3 from three point range while scoring 14 in the third period when the Beermen pulled away for good from the listless Kings.
San Miguel coach Jorge Gallent also felt Anosike's injury is not a concern.

"When he was fielded back, he played well pa din," he said.
Initially, the San Miguel coaching staff felt Anosike won't be able to play after hobbling on the floor and went out of the game during the second period.
"When he went back, he still played the same. So I guess, he's kind of OK na."
Truly, the Beermen couldn't afford to lose Anosike at this point especially with the series now a virtual best-of-three.
Both the Beermen and Kings will look to break the tied series on Friday when Game 5 goes to Ynares Center in Antipolo. (RG)
