MANILA – Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) is further expanding its reach to Thailand, offering flights between Chiang Mai and Manila beginning Oct. 29.
The thrice weekly flights to Thailand's second largest city will be every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Three weekly flights from Chiang Mai to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport are scheduled every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
"This new route will provide our passengers the opportunity to explore Thailand beyond its urban attractions," CEB president Xander Lao said in a statement Thursday.
Chiang Mai's natural heritage, ancient temples, and laid-back atmosphere promise a tranquil escape for every traveler, Lao said.
CEB now flies between Manila and Bangkok, with options to fly via the Suvarnabhumi Airport or Don Mueang International Airport.
The Gokongwei-led airline also services Bangkok flights via Cebu.
Meanwhile, passengers could avail of flight tickets to Chiang Mai for as low as PHP1 base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges, from Aug. 1 to 6 and for travel from Oct. 29, 2024 to March 30, 2025.
The carrier currently operates in 35 domestic and 26 international destinations. (PNA)
