Comprehensive infra dev’t master plan. Sen. Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito pushes for the passage of Senate Bill No. 158 also known as the Comprehensive Infrastructure Development Master Plan to resolve the perennial flood problem in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. “We need floodways, dikes and water impounding.
This is where the master plan comes in. In fact, the very first bill that I filed in this Congress is the comprehensive master plan for infrastructure development.
I hope we can pass it so that the national projects will continue no matter who is the elected president,” Ejercito said during Thursday’s hearing, August 1, 2024 of the Committee on Public Works. The proposed measure mandates the creation of a Comprehensive Infrastructure Development Master Plan that will serve as a blueprint for the different departments of the government in the construction, upgrading, and improvement of the infrastructure projects all over the country in the next thirty years or more. It aims to create a developed, integrated and coordinated infrastructure development. (Senate Public Relations and Information Bureau)
