Cops arrest armed robbery suspects following quick response

On Sunday (October 13), at 2:50AM patrolling officers from Pasay City Police Sub-station 2 apprehended two robbery suspects in front of a hotel along Taft Avenue corner Buendia Avenue, Pasay City. The suspects who fled the scene immediately following the robbery incident, were arrested due quick action from patrolling officers.


The suspects, identified by their aliases as Jun Jun, 23, and Dexter, 19, both tricycle drivers were arrested after victim alias Gerry, 29 years sought help from patrolling officers in the area. The suspects forcibly took his iPhone, valued ₱ 20,000, which remains unrecovered.

Alias Gerald provided detailed descriptions of the suspects and the direction. Acting quickly, the patrol team initiated a pursuit operation that led to the suspects' capture after a brief chase.


Upon searching the suspects, officers recovered a .38 caliber revolver, without serial number and loaded with four live rounds, from Dexter. From Jun Jun, officers found a .9mm Ingram Mac10, also without a serial number and loaded with five rounds, concealed in his sling bag. The suspects were also found with a black motorcycle, lacking plate number, which was identified as the vehicle used in the robbery.


The victim positively identified Jun Jun and Dexter as the assailants. Both suspects are facing complaints for Robbery (hold-up) and violation of Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.


“This successful operation highlights the commitment of the Pasay City Police to enhance public safety and reduce criminal activity in the area. Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities”, said Police Brigadier General Bernard R Yang, District Director.
