CSC Antique to plant trees' to sow compassion for public servants'

Updated: Aug 17

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office in Antique is inviting national government agencies, institutions, and other interested parties to participate in a tree-growing for a cause activity on September 19 at Sitio Catwayan, Patnongon. This initiative is part of the CSC's Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Program, which provides financial assistance to the families of government employees who have died in the line of duty.

According to CSC Antique Provincial Director Andre Ladigohon, the project will focus on planting mangroves, and participants are required to pay a registration fee of PHP 250. The funds raised will be sent to the CSC Central Office to support the families of eligible government employees.

"This initiative is not just about planting trees; it's sowing seeds of compassion for our fellow public servants who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty," Ladigohon emphasized.

The event, themed "Malasakit sa Kalikasan, Malasakit sa Lingkod Bayani," aligns with the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary and "Linggo ng Malasakit." It is organized in collaboration with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) and its provincial government counterpart.
