CSC solicits public feedback for 2024 gov't awards




MANILA – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has unveiled the list of the 26 semi-finalists for the prestigious 2024 Search for Outstanding Government Workers and is inviting the public to participate in the evaluation process by providing feedback on the national nominees.


“We invite you to take part in this year’s Search for Outstanding Government Workers by sharing your comments and reactions on the semi-finalists. Your feedback is crucial in helping us recognize the most deserving candidates who exemplify excellence in public service,” CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said in a press release.


The public is encouraged to submit their comments, whether positive or negative, for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan and CSC Pagasa Awards until July 26, 2024.


There are 10 individual and three group semi-finalists for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, a recognition conferred on an individual or group for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or performance that had nationwide impact.


The semi-finalists for the individual category are:


    1. Shirley Castañeda Agrupis, State University and College President IV, Mariano Marcos State University, Batac City, Ilocos Norte


    2. Glenn Mathew Guillermo Baggao, Medical Center Chief II, Cagayan Valley Medical Center, Tuguegarao City


    3. Wilson Azucena Batislaon, Municipal Government Department Head I (Municipal Environment & Natural Resources Officer), Municipal              Government of Leganes, Iloilo


    4. Ma. Josefina Go Belmonte, City Mayor, Quezon City Local Government Unit (LGU), Quezon City


    5. Rachelle Cunanan Dela Cruz, Medical Specialist III (Part-Time), Philippine Children's Medical Center, Quezon City


    6. Ann Rapunzel Ortaliz Ganzon, Social Welfare Officer IV, Provincial Government of Iloilo, Iloilo City


   7. Marcela Mendoza Navasero, Scientist II, University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna


   8. Santiago Torda Peña Jr., Associate Professor III, Visayas State University, Baybay City, Leyte


   9. Mario Ong Salvador, City Mayor, LGU-San Jose City, Nueva Ecija


   10. Abner Celoso Zamora, Jail Superintendent, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Iloilo City


For the group category, the semi-finalists are:


    1. Health Beyond Bars Program, Bataan Peninsula State University, Balanga City, Bataan


    2. ISU Cagayan Valley Cacao Development Center, Isabela State University, Echague, Isabela


    3. PHILGAP Champs, Visayas State University, Baybay City, Leyte


Meanwhile, nine individuals and four groups have been named semi-finalists for the CSC Pagasa Award, a recognition given to an individual or group for their outstanding contributions that directly benefit more than one department of the government.


For the individual category, they are:


    1.Anita Temblor Andueza, Senior Jail Officer 4, BJMP Regional Office V, Legazpi City Jail, Bogtong, Legazpi City, Albay


    2. Kyle David Villaster Atienza, Senior Education Program Specialist, Department of Education (DepEd) - Schools Division of Marinduque, Boac,    Marinduque


    3. Lordelyn Anisco Buyo, School Principal IV, DepEd - Schools Division of Davao Del Norte (Carmen National High School), Carmen, Davao Del Norte


    4. Jekyll Dupio Cadungog, Information Technology Officer I, DepEd - Schools Division of Zamboanga Sibugay, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay


    5. Jasmin Flores Gutierrez, Corporate Executive Officer I, Social Security System - San Pablo Branch, San Pablo City, Laguna


    6. June Elias Vencio Patalinghug, Master Teacher II, DepEd - Schools Division of Davao City (Ciriaco Mariano Elementary School), Davao City


    7. Adelfa Tolop Salutan, Administrative Officer V, LGU-Tagbilaran City, Bohol


    8. Hector Ulibas Tabbun, Information Officer III, Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office No. 02, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan


    9. Jay Fabiano Tumbokon, Administrative Officer IV (Information Officer II), Municipal Government of Libertad, Antique


The semi-finalists for the group category are:


    1. Alternative Low-Input Agriculture System (ALIAS) Team, Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga


    2. DA Caraga Soybean Advocates, DA Regional Office XIII, Butuan City


    3. Management Information Services Division (MISD) Team, Baliwag Water District, Baliwag City, Bulacan


    4. Team Tagum City Local Civil Registry System: Securing Juan's "Passport" to Many Opportunities, LGU-Tagum City, Davao del Norte
