Villar presides over the Finance Subcommittee M hearing to discuss the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and its attached agencies proposed 2025 budget amounting to P9.410 billion. “We called this hearing to discuss how the proposed budget for next year of the DTI and its attached agencies and corporations will be allocated and utilized following the President’s message anchored in our Agenda For Prosperity: Fulfilling the Needs and Aspirations of the Filipino people,” Villar said. “One vital portion of the agenda is revitalizing industries and promoting trade and investments to provide quality jobs and competitive products for our fellow Filipinos,” he added. Villar, during Tuesday’s budget hearing, September 24, 2024, said the President’s message is aligned with DTI’s strategic direction which encompasses international trade, export and investments promotion, consumer protection, and micro, small and medium-size enterprises (MSMEs) development.
