Flush him out like a rat hiding in a sewer

Updated: Aug 26

From a previous column, I mentioned about the limited time Apollo Quiboloy has as a free man. And soon, the police will get him by hook or by crook. I prefer by crook because he is one.

The PNP entered the KOJC compound in Buhangin, Davao City to serve a warrant of arrest for Apollo Quiboloy who has been in hiding for many days now. The compound is a vast 30 hectares with more than 40 buildings within the property.

But this is matched by some 2,000 PNP personnel who are present. Imagine, all these just to serve a WOA to a person who has been fooling millions saying he is the “appointed son of God on earth?” Baloney.

Time and again, we have heard testimonies about his lustful ways and his greed for money.

And then no less than Vice-President Sara Duterte comes to the defense (again) of Quiboloy by condemning the presence of the PNP as an overkill saying that “the gross abuse of police power in the takeover of the KOJC compound led to the harassment of religious worshippers, the abuse of minors, and the unnecessary loss of life.

Perhaps the “abuse of minors” should be directed at Quiboloy himself because no less than the FBI wants him for child trafficking, among other charges.

And then a not-so-surprising declaration from Senator Imee Marcos as well condemning the presence of the PNP. Methinks this is just her anger towards the First Lady Lisa Araneta Marcos. Believe me, it is.

From her statement, Sen. Imee says, “The deployment of 2,000 police personnel to raid the premises of an established religion is both unwarranted and unjustified.”

Imee is a disappointment to thousands of “Marcos Loyalists” and I know this for a fact. Imee has oftentimes contradicted the policies of his brother’s administration, much to the delight of VP Sara and the Duterte family. But the solution is really so simple.

And why can’t Imee herself, together with Sara and the former president just tell Quiboloy to surrender?

He is a coward who uses his flock as a human shield. And yes, he knows his days are numbered.

But if he still insists, then by all means flush him out like a rat hiding in a sewer.

The police are doing an excellent job

But of course the police are there to keep the peace. But if you stand on their way as to obstruct justice, be ready to feel the brunt of their might.

In other countries, police operations go unhampered unless a huge demonstration happens.

No less than PBGen.Nicolas Torre III has reported that KOJC members inside are free to leave anytime for as long as they are not being held against their will.

That is why I do not understand KOJC lawyer Atty. Dinah Tolentino Fuentes when she said that KOJC workers are held hostage until Monday (today) because of a court holiday.

The only thing we can do now is do passive resistance. Do not offer any violence because I am afraid that if we offer any violence at all, this might be the catalyst for the calling of Martial Law in Davao City. Take note that she was addressing this to members of a church.

What hypocrisy is this? On the other hand, we support and rally behind Gen. Torres

Duterte is still a loudmouth

Do you recall the pronouncements of former President Rodrigo Duterte during the Pandemic when he said these words on the issue of quarantine violators, “I will not hesitate. My orders to the police and to the military should they interfere with their operations is to shoot them dead.”

But recently, singing with a different sour note, Duterte has criticized the PNP and their latest attempt to arrest Quiboloy saying, “Our country has never been in a more tragic state as it is today. Rights have been trampled upon and our laws deride.”

As a sick man obviously, he now says the silliest things, that is why it would be very difficult these days to take him seriously, knowing what the drug Fentanyl does to the human brain, reducing it to a tiny fraction of its original size. I

If you ask me, when he was president, it could be that his Ship of State was the only ship in the world that was leaking from the top.

As I write this, a brewing People Power (how much per head?) is going on right now in Davao City in support for Apollo Quiboloy.

Goodness, all that trouble for a suspected sex offender wanted by no less that the FBI? Those who conspire on such are toying with the possibility to be arrested by the police.

It is time for this administration to deal with anarchists and troublemakers all in the name of their lust and greed to take over government.

Let the police deal with them.

Lastly, it all boils down to a simple solution: advise Apollo Quiboloy to surrender to authorities peacefully to give him his day in court and face his accusers. He is not above the law.

He is not even the law. He is a regular charlatan who simply succeeded in fooling his followers, thus taking advantage of their gullibility and ignorance. We must bring them to the light and show them the fakery of their shepherd.

Enough of this drama. Unmask him and bring him to court, and if prison it is, so be it.

Random Memorandum: David Koresh was an American cult leader who played a central role in the Waco Siege of 1993. As head of the Branch Davidians, a religious sect and an offshoot of the Seventh-day Adventists, Koresh claimed to be its final prophet. His apocalyptic Biblical teachings, including interpretations of the Book of Revelation and the Seven Seals, attracted various followers.
