SEOUL, Oct 24 (NNN-YONHAP) – Four domestic and foreign automakers in South Korea, will recall some 189,800 vehicles for manufacturing defects, the transport ministry said, today.
Hyundai Motor will recall 117,569 units of four different models, including the Grand Starex van, to fix the poor durability of the hydraulic electronic control unit, and 58,105 units of four other models, such as G70, for the insufficient durability of components in the high-pressure fuel pump, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
A design flaw in the transmission wiring connector, prompted the recall of 5,706 units of five models, such as Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ from Mercedes-Benz Korea, while 4,748 units of five other models, including GLE 300d 4MATIC were recalled for an excessive width of the vehicle body.
BMW Korea will repair the poor durability of universal joint components in 2,450 units of 14 models, including BMW 530i xDrive.
Ford Sales And Service Korea will take corrective actions on 1,219 units of Lincoln Nautilus for an error in door control software.
Vehicle owners can visit repair and service centres to replace the faulty parts free.– NNN-YONHAP
