Attendees of this year’s Travel Sale Expo can expect big offers on travel to Boracay as the Global Tourism Business Association (GTBA) partners with the local government of Malay for the event happening from September 27-29 at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
GTBA President and TSE 2024 Chairperson Michelle Taylan signed the partnership agreement with Malay Mayor Frolibar Bautista last July 31, 2024. The GTBA has been a long-time partner of the LGU in promoting and developing Boracay island as a top tourist destination.
“It’s no secret that we have been actively pursuing projects with the Malay LGU to take the Boracay experience to a whole new level. It’s already a world-renowned beach destination, but what’s good about the local government under Mayor Bautista is their openness to really take the island’s tourism potential up a notch,” Taylan said.
Boracay, together with GTBA, hosted for the first time the Diplomatic Visit and Business forum last April, bringing together ambassadors, airline representatives, and tourism leaders and stakeholders for three days of fruitful dialogue on boosting Philippine tourism.
“We’re looking forward to partnering with more LGUs soon to get more insights on what we can do together to expand our reach across markets. For now, we have the Travel Sale Expo to help bridge travelers and sellers, Taylan adds.
Travel Sale Expo 2024 has the theme ‘Experience the World, Travel is Life’ as it brings together over a hundred exhibitors from the airlines, accommodation, tours, and leisure sectors, with discounted rates and exclusive promos to be offered. The event is also a chance to discover new and emerging destinations and travel trends for bargain prices.
