Heat torch Celtics, even series 1-1



Combined impressive performances from Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo and Caleb Martin helped the Miami Heat propel to a win in Game 2 against the Boston Celtics, 111-101, evening their series to 1-1.

 Heat guard Herro dropped 21 points, 14 assists and five rebounds, while center Adebayo notched 21 points, 10 boards and two assists.

Martin showed out with 21 points and two rebounds.

From the Boston Celtics, the dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown scored 28 and 38 points, respectively. 

Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis contributed with six points, four assists, and eight boards. 

Game 3 will be hosted by the Miami Heat at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, on April 28 at 6 a.m. (Manila Time).

 In the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder improved their series to 2-0 after beating the New Orleans Pelicans at their home crowd in the Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma.

 NBA Most Valuable Player candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the squad with 33 points, 5 assists and three rebounds. Centers Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams contributed 26 points and 21 points, respectively.

In the absence of Zion Williamson, who was sidelined due to injury, center Jonas Valančiunas took charge for the Pelicans, dropping 19 points and collecting re rebounds.

  The two teams will face off for Game 3 at the Pelicans’ home, Smoothie King Center, in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 28 at 3:30 a.m. (Manila Time).
