House launches frontline unit for human resource concerns

To improve service delivery to clients, the Human Resource Management Service (HRMS) of the House of Representatives (HRep) on Monday formally launched its Client Servicing Unit (CSU).

The CSU will serve as the HRMS’ frontline unit, handling all concerns related to personnel and human resources, from recruitment to retirement, for the convenience of its clients.

The CSU was created pursuant to the HRMS client-centric mantra “Handang Maglingkod,” aimed at eliminating long waiting periods and the need for people to go from one office to another for their human resource needs.

“The continuous improvement of the HRMS service should not only be consistent but also apparent to the clients,” Deputy Secretary General for the Administrative Department Dr.  Edgardo Pangilinan said.

House of Representatives Secretary General Reginald S. Velasco lauded the HRMS’ latest innovation, highlighting the importance of efficient customer servicing in the HRep, particularly on human resource concerns.

“HRMS is one of the busiest offices in the House because it handles the documents of its clients from pre-employment, employment to retirement. As such, the CSU is necessary for easier transactions,” Velasco said.

Under the new setup, there will be four Client Service Officers from Mondays to Thursdays, serving from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The CSU is located at the Speaker Makalintal Hall, 2nd Floor of the House South Wing Annex.
