Traveling via the North Luzon Expressway will be more expensive starting June 4. The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the implementation of the second and final tranche of the provisionally approved toll rate adjustments for NLEX Corp.'s consolidated 2018 and 2020 petitions.
"Following the compliance with the publication and posting of surety bond requirements under Section 1, Rule 5 of the TRB Revised Rules of Procedure, the TRB issued on May 14 a Notice to Start Collection (NTSC) for the subject second tranche authorizing NLEX Corp. to collect the new adjusted toll rates," the TRB said in a statement.
The new toll rates will be as follows:
At the open system (Balintawak, Caloocan/Mindanao Avenue to the north of Marilao):
Class 1 - additional P5
Class 2 - additional P14
Class 3 - additional P17
From north of Marilao to Sta. Ines:
Class 1 - additional P21
Class 2 - additional P54
Class 3 - additional P65
Subic-Tipo:
Class 1 - additional P2
Class 2 - additional P7
Class 3 - additional P8
From Metro Manila to Mabalacat, Pampanga:
Class 1 - additional P27
Class 2 - additional P68
Class 3 - additional P81
NLEX Corp. notified the TRB on May 22 that it would start collecting the new toll rates on June 4.
