American center Kyle Hines on Wednesday announced his retirement at the age of 38 after a 16-year basketball career.
"I could have never imagined that basketball would have taken me this far. My journey has been nothing short but amazing. 16 years of living my dreams of playing professional basketball," Hines said on X.
"As I start the next chapter, I look forward to starting a new adventure with you all," he added.
Hines also played for Veroli, Brose Bamberg, Olympiacos Piraeus, CSKA Moscow, and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan but never made an appearance in the NBA.
He became a EuroLeague champion on four occasions – with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013, before lifting the trophy in 2016 and 2019 with CSKA.
The 38-year-old was recognized on the EuroLeague 2010-20 All-Decade Team and averaged 7.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 425 EuroLeague games.
