Lightning kills 3 cousins in Bulacan

Three cousins tragically lost their lives after being struck by lightning while playing in the rain in Pulilan, Bulacan.

The victims were identified as Rexter Enriquez, 16 years old, Roxanne Enriquez, 12, and April dela Cruz, 11.

According to witnesses, the three were playing outside their home when the tragedy occurred last Wednesday.

The victims were rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, their lives could not be saved.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) suggests that the tragedy may have been caused by a ground current from the lightning.

PAGASA issues a warning to the public regarding the hazards of bathing or playing in the rain.

The weather bureau also advises seeking shelter under trees during lightning storms, while fishermen at sea are urged to promptly head back to shore.
