The city government of Manila on Friday advised motorists of road closures and traffic re-routing schemes in the vicinity of San Beda University for the 2024 Bar examinations next month.
In a social media post, the Manila Public Information Office said the road closures will be in effect on Sept. 8, 11, and 15 at the Mendiola area near the university from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The roads that would be closed during these dates are: Mendiola Street (both lanes, from Peach Arch to Malacañang Gate) and Concepcion Aguila Street (both lanes from Mendiola Street cor. Jose Laurel Street).
“The public is advised to take alternate routes during the Bar examinations,” it said.
Another testing center for this year's Bar examinations in Manila is the University of Santo Tomas.
Other local testing centers (LTCs) in Metro Manila are the Manila Adventist College in Pasay City, the University of the Philippines-Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City and San Beda College-Alabang in Muntinlupa City.
In Luzon, the examinations will be held at Saint Louis University, University of Nueva Caceres; while the venues for Visayas tests are the University of San Jose-Recoletos, Central Philippine University and Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation.
Bar examinations in Mindanao will be held at Xavier University and Ateneo de Davao University.
A total of 12,246 registrants have signed up for this year's Bar examinations. (PNA)
