Acting Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia visited Block 27 in the North Reclamation Area today, July 21, 2024, which is owned by the Cebu City Government, to assess its suitability as a potential transitional housing site.
The area will be allocated for an estimated 100 informal settlers from Brgy. Mabolo, Cebu City. The lot is currently vacant and overgrown with thick vegetation.
Accompanying Acting Mayor Garcia in inspecting the site were Councilor Edgardo “Jaypee” Labella II; Barangay Captain Daniel Francis Arguedo along with several other officials from Mabolo; City Administrator Kristine Joyce Batucan; Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification, Enhancement (PROBE) Team-South Executive Director Kevin Sanchez; and City Health Department Assistant Head Jeffrey Ibones.
