YANGON, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar has attracted 147 million U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, according to figures released by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) on Friday.
From April 1 to June 30 this year, the Myanmar Investment Commission approved 19 foreign invested enterprises, showed the DICA data.
During the period, the transport and communication sector attracted the most FDI with 82 million dollars, followed by the manufacturing sector with 64 million dollars, and livestock and fisheries sector with 1 million dollars, it said.
Singapore, China and Indonesia are the largest investors in Myanmar during the period, it added. ■
