NCRPO enhances welfare initiatives with CSBP, healthcare access

The National Capital Region Police Office ramped up its efforts to ensure the efficient delivery of benefits to its personnel by conducting an information drive on the Comprehensive Social Benefits Program (CSBP) on October 17, 2024, at the NCRPO Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

The event focused on enhancing the knowledge of the Moral and Welfare Section (MWS) personnel about their crucial roles in processing benefits for the families of Killed in Action (KIA), Wounded in Action (WIA), and Killed or Wounded in Police Operations (KIPO/WIPO). Their dedication and hard work are integral to the success of this initiative.

As the resource speaker, Ms. Joycelyn M. Cabafia, CSBP Program Manager, Department of Interior and Local Government, spearheaded the info-drive rollout. She elaborated on the different forms of assistance provided under the program, which include financial aid, health care support, housing grants, and employment assistance.

She also emphasized the importance of quick and accurate processing to ensure that the benefits reach the families of affected personnel without delay.

The CSBP is part of the broader commitment to honoring the service of the fallen and injured officers and ensuring that their families receive the necessary support in times of need. By educating the MWS personnel on the program's process, the NCRPO aims to streamline the delivery of these benefits, ensuring that no family is left behind.

NCRPO Chief PMGEN SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA also delivered a message during the event. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to expand personnel welfare by making Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) services available to members of the Philippine National Police, a significant step in enhancing healthcare access within the force.

Further, he reiterated our unwavering commitment to the welfare of our police force, ensuring that programs like the CSBP are vital in boosting the morale of active-duty officers and their families, providing them with a sense of security and support.
