MANILA – Flag carrier Philippine Airlines will launch flights between Cebu and Osaka, Japan beginning Dec. 22.
In an advisory on Friday, PAL said three weekly flights will be offered every Monday, Thursday and Sunday.
Flight PR 410 will leave the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Osaka at 5 p.m.
From Japan, flight PR 409 will leave at 6 p.m. and arrive in Cebu at 9:40 p.m.
PAL will add another frequency to these routes, every Wednesday starting Feb. 26, 2025.
PAL president Stanley Ng recently told the Philippine News Agency that the airline is continuously exploring routes, including European countries like France, and is studying the possible mounting of direct flights between Paris and Manila.
"There's a growing demand. People are travelling in Europe," he said.
In April, Ng announced that PAL would revive its Cebu-Osaka and Manila-Sapporo routes this year.
Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific and PAL currently have services to Japan from Cebu. (PNA)
