The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on May 27, 2024 turned over various mobility aids to the municipal government of Real, Quezon in a ceremony at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles personally handed over 50 units of wheelchairs, 50 crutches, 50 canes and 30 walkers to Mayor Diana Abigail Aquino.

According to the mayor, these will benefit those in immediate need of assistance, particularly individuals with disabilities and senior citizens.

"Ang mga kagamitang ito ay magpapadali ng kanilang pang-araw-araw na buhay at magbibigay sa kanila ng mas malaking kalayaan upang makagalaw,” Aquino said.

“Lubos kaming nagpapasalamat sa PCSO lalong lalo na kay GM Mel Robles sa kanilang kabutihang-loob at sa pagpapahalaga sa pangangailangan ng aming komunidad,” she added.

Robles acknowledged the commitment of the gaming public to the Lotto and Small Town Lottery as it greatly contributes to providing funds for PCSO's projects and programs.

“The support from our gaming public is crucial in making programs like this possible. Their participation directly translates to assistance for those in need,” said GM Robles.

Through its Corporate Social Responsibility Program, the PCSO continues to implement initiatives aimed at providing immediate relief and long-term support to those in need.

This recent distribution is one of the many ways PCSO is making a tangible difference in the lives of Filipinos nationwide.
