Mark Palomar is optimistic that his forthcoming duel with Chinese Darui Tang in the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) Fight Night on Sept. 28 at Octopus Bar in Makati City would cement the Philippines' position in combat sports.
"One of us will fall, probably him (Tang). I prepared hard for this fight to prove that the Philippines is No. 1 in combat sports in Asia," Palomar said during a press conference on Friday.
"It will be a very short fight. My opponent will be knocked out at fight night," Tang countered.
Competing in the undercard events are Jacis Macasinag against Ezekiel Isidro (135lb); Gabriel Baguio against MJ Montealto (155lb); JR Alejandro against Marvin Malunes, Ariel Oliveros against Kenneth Maningat and Jared Alzeta against Rocky Vergara (125lb); and Dave Valencia against Ferdinand Aquino (115lb).
"We are inviting all fight enthusiasts to watch the fights for personal glory and beyond..'Bakbakan na (Fight time)!'" URCC Mixed Martial Arts founding president Alvin Aguilar said. (PNA)
