PLDT Enterprise, the corporate business arm of PLDT, has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting government operations by enhancing internet services across COMELEC field offices in Region 6.

This initiative is part of a broader collaboration aimed at ensuring robust and reliable connectivity to facilitate free, orderly, and credible elections in the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental.

In 2023, PLDT Enterprise responded to a crucial need within COMELEC Region 6. Due to inadequate internet resources, the region faced challenges maintaining effective communication and timely reporting across its field offices. By deploying Enterprise Broadband Static from PLDT Enterprise, these offices are now equipped to handle their daily operations more efficiently, enhancing the overall electoral process.

"Ensuring seamless and secure communication within COMELEC's regional operations is imperative, especially right before, during, and after the election period," said Ma. Hazel D. Amoyan, Business Head at PLDT Enterprise. "Our partnership with COMELEC Region 6 reflects PLDT Enterprise's dedication to supporting key government functions, ensuring that every phase of the election process is underpinned by reliable and high-speed connectivity."

PLDT's fiber optic infrastructure supports many tasks essential to COMELEC, including updating voter databases, internal communications, and disseminating election-related information. This enhanced connectivity is pivotal for COMELEC Region 6, allowing them to manage data effectively and collaborate seamlessly across various municipalities.

Atty. Dennis Ausan, Regional Election Director of COMELEC Region 6, remarked, "The support from PLDT Enterprise has been instrumental in transforming how our offices operate. High-speed internet is no longer a luxury but necessary for conducting transparent and efficient elections. Through this partnership, our field offices are better equipped than ever to uphold the integrity of the electoral process."

As digital transformation continues to be a priority for organizations across the Philippines, PLDT Enterprise remains at the forefront, driving innovation and reliability in digital solutions.
