Rapist falls to NBI

He can run but he simply cannot hide.

 

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) yesterday arrested a suspected rapist in Capiz.

 

The NBI identified the suspect as Joven U. Posadas wanted for three counts of rape.

 

NBI Director Jaime Santiago said that Posadas , whohas a standing Warrant of Arrest issued by Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 14, Roxas City, Capiz for three counts of Qualified Rape (3 counts), was hiding near his residence located at Brgy. San Pedro, Pontevedra, Capiz. With the information gathered, NBI operatives immediately proceeded to the said location which led to the successful arrest of Posadas. 

Posadas was apprised of his constitutional rights and was brought to NBI-CAPDO office for the standard operating and booking procedures. 

 

He was temporarily in NBI custody pending the return of the Warrant of Arrest for the disposition of the concerned court.

 

No bail was recommended.
