SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Friday strongly condemned the ambush-slaying Thursday evening of Bulacan Sangguniang Panlalawigan member and ABC president Ramilito Capistrano and his driver Shedrick Suarez, in Malolos City.
“We condemn in the strongest term possible the ambush that killed Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member and ABC President Capistrano and his driver Suarez,” Speaker Romualdez said.
He expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and the Bulacan community.
“We extend our condolences to the families of SP Capistrano and Suarez, Barangay Caingin of San Rafael municipality, and the people of Bulacan,” he said.
Romualdez also emphasized the need for immediate action from all concerned authorities.
“We join the representatives from Bulacan and the Bulacan provincial government led by Gov. Daniel Fernando in pressing all our law enforcement agencies and authorities to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators quickly. Justice should be served,” the Speaker said.
He urged the public to remain calm and assist law enforcement in their investigation.
“At the same time, we call on our people to stay calm and cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation,” Speaker Romualdez concluded.
