Take out those sweatshirts as cooler days are approaching and temperatures are expected to cool down.
It's officially that time of year! We get to wear our comfy hoodies and sweaters! 'Tis the season when we enjoy hot chocolate with our loved ones and prepare for the approaching merry holidays!
As the ber-months arrive, the cold winds are expected to hit the Filipinos soon too.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) estimates that the northeast monsoon or amihan is approaching and will arrive by next week.
“Ang estimate po natin, possible by next week posibleng magkaroon na [ng amihan],” PAGASA weather forecaster Lorie Dela Cruz told TeleRadyo Serbisyo.
Although the monsoon is approaching, easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific are still hovering over eastern Luzon and Visayas, according to Dela Cruz.
PAGASA says the easterlies bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in northeastern and southeastern parts of Luzon, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon provinces.
With this forecast, remember to take those jackets, sweaters, and long sleeves out of the closet! Enjoy warm cuddles with your loved ones and stay safe as rain and cold winds approach the Philippines.
