Expect to spend more when you fill up your gas tanks on Tuesday (Sept. 24) as oil companies announced an increase in pump prices after three weeks of consecutive price rollbacks.
Oil firms Seaoil, Petro Gazz, Cleanfuel, Shell, Jetti, and PTT Philippines issued separate advisories on Monday announcing a P1.10 per-liter increase in gasoline prices.
In addition, the oil companies said that diesel prices would increase by P0.20 per liter. There will be no price adjustments for kerosene.
Last week, oil companies decreased the price of gasoline by P1.00 per liter, diesel by P1.30 per liter, and kerosene by P1.65 per liter.
The Department of Energy (DOE) said this brought the year-to-date total adjustment of gasoline and diesel to a net increase of P4.85 per liter and P1.75 per liter, respectively.
The DOE, meanwhile, said that kerosene has a total net decrease of P6.35 per liter.
