Anthony Edwards dropped 27 points, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a commanding 115-70 victory over the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals on Thursday in Minneapolis, staving off elimination.
Jaden McDaniels contributed 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting for Minnesota, which ended a three-game losing streak. Karl-Anthony Towns (10 points, 13 rebounds) and Naz Reid (10 points, 11 rebounds) both achieved double-doubles, while Rudy Gobert grabbed 14 rebounds and scored eight points.
Nikola Jokic led Denver with 22 points and nine rebounds. Aaron Gordon added 12 points and eight rebounds, while Jamal Murray managed 10 points despite hitting just 4 of 18 shots from the field.
The Timberwolves took control with a 24-0 run in the fourth quarter, extending their lead to 112-63.
Nuggets coach Michael Malone pulled Jokic and several other starters in preparation for Game 7.
The series will culminate in a winner-takes-all Game 7 on Sunday in Denver.
