The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has assured farmers and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) direct access to the agency’s services.
This assurance, according to DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, reflects DAR’s commitment to comply with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive for state agencies to bring the government closer to the people.
“We are following the President. We are no armchair executives, definitely not. We bring the government closer to the people,” Secretary Estrella said in an episode of Malacañang insider on Thursday.
The strong relationship between DAR and local government officials, as well as congressmen, is enabling the agency to accommodate requests from farmers and ARBs with specific needs, Estrella added.
DAR provides various support services, including strategic interventions to help ARBs retain their awarded lands through increased production and engagement in agri-based enterprises. PND
