ISLAMABAD, July 26 (Xinhua) -- A high-value terrorist was killed in an operation conducted by security forces in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday, the Pakistani military said in a statement.
The security forces conducted the intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan district on the reported presence of terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military said in the statement.
The killed terrorist was actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area, including target killing and facilitation of suicide bombing, the statement added.
A clearance operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, the ISPR said. ■
