DAVAO CITY – The Police Regional Office in Davao Region (PRO-11) reported Monday that 24–hour weekend operations resulted in the confiscation of more than PHP1 million worth of illegal drugs.
From 5 a.m. on July 20 to 5 a.m. on July 21, PRO-11 conducted 12 drug-related operations, leading to the arrest of 12 individuals involved in illegal drug activities.
The seized illegal drugs consisted of 152 grams of shabu and 0.8 grams of marijuana leaves valued at PHP1.2 million.
PRO-11 Director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said the accomplishment underscored their unwavering commitment to combatting the illegal drug trade and ensuring public safety.
“We commend the operating units for their exemplary service and tireless efforts in serving the warrant of arrest, thereby ensuring that justice is served and reinforcing the rule of law in our community,” Torre said in a statement.
PRO-11 also seized PHP499,427 worth of illegal drugs and arrested eight suspects on July 16 and 17. (PNA)
