A massive fire broke out along the roadside in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City, shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Firefighters responded swiftly to the scene. The fire was so extensive that it engulfed five rental houses and an electrical shop.
Several residents were unable to save their belongings.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the blaze was likely caused by faulty electrical wiring.
The fire was declared under control by the firefighters by 2:30 p.m.
Currently, 10 families affected by the fire are seeking temporary shelter.
