CASH ASSISTANCE Each deserving student receives P5,000 from the public assistance programs of Las Piñas City Rep. Camille Villar.
House Deputy Speaker and Las Piñas City lone district Rep. Camille Villar on Thursday led the distribution of P10 million worth of education assistance to college students hailing from underprivileged families in the city.
Each deserving student received P5,000, totaling to approximately 2,000 recipients within the city.
This cash assistance was part of Villar's public assistance initiatives aimed at uplifting impoverished families in the city.
Aligned with her dedication to educational advancement, the program aims to inspire students to pursue their education despite facing financial difficulties.
"Education is the great equalizer. It is important for our youth to finish their studies so they can help lift their families out of poverty)," she said.
Villar, who is also the CEO of ALL Value Group and managing director of real estate firm Vista Land, emphasized that education offers families a greater opportunity to enhance their lives and secure a brighter future for the next generation.
Through our small initiative, we want to show our youth that the government is always ready to help them reach their dreams)," Villar said.
